A sacred day of mass chanting, spiritual offerings, and soulful music at the Gita Jayanti Mahotsav.
Program Schedule
4:30 AM – Mangalarati
The day begins with a peaceful Mangalarati, invoking divine blessings and spiritual harmony.
5:30 AM – Puja & Veda Path
Early morning Puja followed by Vedic chanting performed by learned scholars, filling the air with devotion and purity.
7:00 AM – 10:30 AM – Mass Gita Chanting (50,000 Participants)
A grand collective recitation of the Bhagavad Gita by saints, monks, students, and devotees from across India, symbolizing unity and spiritual awakening.
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Gita Havana
A sacred Havana performed with Vedic mantras, offering prayers for universal peace, wellbeing, and spiritual upliftment.
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Sadhu Bhandara
Traditional offering of meals to saints and monks, honoring the Sanatan dharma of service and hospitality.
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM – Distribution of Essential Items
Distribution of essential items to individuals from diverse backgrounds, reflecting compassion and community service.
Cultural Program (From 7:00 PM Onwards)
Dedicated to Padma Vibhushan Kishori Amonkar
The evening will feature a soulful cultural tribute to one of India’s greatest classical vocalists. Renowned national and international artists will perform, celebrating her timeless musical legacy.
The Soul of Hindustani Classical Music
Kishori Amonkar (1932–2017) was a legendary Hindustani classical vocalist whose artistry transcended tradition. Known for her deep emotional expression and unique interpretations of ragas, she redefined Indian classical music with spiritual intensity. This tribute evening brings together artists honoring her divine voice and enduring influence on the musical world.
